Looks like this site may be stuck with yearly updates with each coming around this time of year.
Trey is finished with his first full year of school. He goes to school just about every day with a smile on his face, and he has learned so much. Pokemon might be his favorite thing around, though soccer is quickly gaining his interest.
Paige wrapped up her second year of preschool and will have a third year in the fall. We have her enrolled in the five day program next year, so she should be an easy transition into kindergarten the following year. She is slightly obsessed with trolls and baby dolls.
Here are their latest stats from doctor visits and some photos from the last year mostly taken on my iPhone.
Wow, I guess we have been busy. Paige had a doctor appointment today which reminded me that I needed to provide an update on how the kids are growing up so quickly. Trey turned five in January and will be heading to Kindergarten in the fall. Paige just turned three earlier this month. Both kids attend preschool twice a week at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church. Here are their latest stats along with a bunch of random photos.
It’s truly hard to believe that our little girl is already two years old. Paige is definitely on her way to being a very independent and wild child. She is already doing really well with potty training and loves getting a little piece of candy as a prize. She is also very vocal now and has started working on counting and the alphabet. Her favorite toys are her dress up clothes and her favorite book is Corduroy, which Kim reads nearly every night.
Here are her latest stats from her two-year check-up:
Last month Trey went in for his 4-year-old check-up. Everyone was really dreading this appointment, but I think in the end I was more stressed out than Trey. He couldn’t have been any more confident and didn’t even shed a tear, at least not until we couldn’t get the promised ice cream from Orange Leaf, as they hadn’t opened yet for the day. Nothing a quick stop at UDF couldn’t fix. Trey’s latest stats are:
Weight: 35 pounds. 25th percentile.
Height: 38.75 inches. 25th percentile.
Head: ?? centimeters. I guess they don’t measure this anymore?
We had a very busy last few months with the holidays and a trip to Florida as well as a wonderful cruise around the Caribbean. Here are some pictures from these adventures.
A couple of weeks ago Paige had her eighteen month check-up at the doctor. Here are her latest stats:
Weight: 21.1 pounds. 45th percentile.
Height: 32 inches. 50th percentile.
Head: 47 centimeters. 75 percentile.
Paige continues to keep us very busy chasing her around the house, especially now that the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs has been removed. The gate was becoming more dangerous than it was worth after Paige learned how to open it and would swing on the door. She is becoming very vocal and has conquered how to say all of her favorite things such as milk, mom, and pacifier along with her own stern answers to any yes or no question.
Trey has become increasingly independent, though he still prefers to stick close to us most of the time. He has mastered riding his tricycle and big wheel, and he continues to love crafts especially painting and coloring. He loves this time of year with all the upcoming holidays, though he still says that Valentines day is his favorite.
Here are some pictures from the end of our summer and early fall, and don’t forget to check out these pics from our recent trip to NYC.
A few weeks back Paige had her fifteen month check-up at the doctor. Here are her latest stats:
Weight: 20.7 pounds. 50th percentile.
Height: 29.25 inches. 10th percentile.
Head: 46.8 centimeters.
Trey at fifteen months:
Weight: 24 pounds. 50th percentile.
Height: 31 inches. 60th percentile.
Head: 48.4 centimeters. 85th percentile.
Here are some recent photos of the kids over the last few months. Trey continues to love crafts of all sorts but especially loves painting wooden models. He has also become quite the gardener recently and is constantly taking care of his plants. Paige is completely mobile now and has become a really good climber of just about anything in her way. She is always trying to play with Trey, even if he wants to be left alone. She loves music and dancing, her dolls, and swimming.
Over the weekend we celebrated Paige’s first birthday. I’m still waiting for my mom to post her photos from the party on flickr, but for now here are some photos she took of the kids on the day before Paige’s birthday last week.
I’ll add some more of my mom’s photos once she has them available. I also have a few random photos from my phone over the last few months.
It’s hard for me to believe how fast they are both growing up!
Last Monday was double duty day at the doctor’s office. Trey went in for his 3-year-old check-up and Paige was there for her 9 month check-up. Trey’s latest stats are:
Weight: 31 pounds. 45th percentile.
Height: 36 inches. 20th percentile.
Head: 51.5 centimeters.
Paige’s latest stats are:
Weight: 17.5 pounds. 50th percentile.
Height: 27 inches. 25th percentile.
Head: 44.5 centimeters. 75th percentile.
Paige is becoming increasingly mobile every day and has just started taking her first steps, though it seems that she still prefers to crawl wherever she needs to go. Trey loves building puzzles and putting together various crafts. Below are some photos from the last few months.
Monday was Paige’s six month check-up with the pediatrician. Here are her latest stats:
Weight: 16.1 pounds. 50th percentile.
Height: 25 inches. 25th percentile.
Head: 43.25 centimeters. 75th percentile.
She is now eating three meals a day and growing up too quickly. She is crawling around pretty well and the doctor said she will be walking before too long. Trey took his first steps around eight months, so that isn’t very far away at all.
